Aus PM's XI v West Indies, Manuka Oval 1984 (Part 1)

This was the season where Aussie crowds said farewell to Greg Chappell, Dennis Lillie and Rod Marsh. Chappell and Lillie had already said farewell during the final Test again Pakistan and would not take part in the one day series. PM at the time, Bob Hawke, made sure the two greats would go around one last time at the top by choosing them in the PM's XI. Even better, Thommo was also given one last opportunity to open the bowling with great mate Dennis Lillie. The Aussie team made an impressive 4/280 off their 50 overs, led by a brilliant 134 by the youthful David Boon. The highlights that follow are of the Windies' run chase. There are many great names in this Windies team, captained by the masterful Clive Lloyd. And check out the PM XI's 12th man, Neil Bolger??? Lots of enthusiasm in the field.
