From the album Música De Las Américas Out Now on MIEL Music Bandcamp: https://miguelzenon.bandcamp.com/albu... Everywhere Else: https://orcd.co/musicadelaamericas Original music by Zenón inspired by his passion for the history of the American continent, this album pays tribute to America’s diverse cultures while also challenging modern assumptions about who and what “America” is. Navegando (Las Estrellas Nos Guían) "Many Indigenous groups in the early Americas developed the ability to travel great distances by sea, with purposes as varied as exploration, exchanging goods, or warfare. They did this via hand-made wooden vessels (which were propelled by human force) and guided by specific star formations which they expertly studied over time. This composition translates elements from various constellations along the Milky Way (or Acáyouman, as it was known to the Caribes) and features Los Pleneros De La Cresta, one of the great plena groups of our time." Featuring: Miguel Zenón - Alto Saxophone, Producer Luis Perdomo - Piano Hans Glawischnig - Bass Henry Cole - Drums And Special Guests: Los Pleneros De La Cresta - Panderos and Vocal www.miguelzenon.com
