YTA Approaches Tripura Commission for Women Over Alleged Harassment of Women The Young Tripuri Association (YTA) has formally approached the Tripura Commission for Women seeking appropriate intervention concerning allegations of stalking, sexually objectionable gestures, sexually coloured conduct and harassment involving Imran Ali and others. YTA has urged the competent authority to examine the matter objectively and ensure a fair, impartial and due-process-based investigation, with appropriate legal action against anyone found responsible. The issue is not merely about an individual incident—it concerns the fundamental dignity, safety and freedom of women. No woman should have to tolerate stalking, intimidation, sexual harassment, degrading gestures or any form of unwanted conduct while exercising her basic right to move freely and live with dignity. Harassment must never be normalised, trivialised or ignored.
