Have I made a mistake by retiring in the Dominican Republic? After living here long enough to experience both the good and the frustrating parts of life abroad, I think I can finally answer that question honestly. The Dominican Republic has given me things I truly value—more time, a different pace of life, new experiences and the opportunity to build a life that looks very different from the one I left behind. But it isn't perfect. There are frustrations. There are compromises. There are things I wish I had understood before making the move. And there have definitely been moments when I've wondered whether life would have been easier if I had stayed home. So in this video, I'm not giving you a sales pitch for the Dominican Republic. I'm giving you my personal assessment of what retirement here has actually been like.
