DM4 - feat "Dave"

This video dedicated to "Dave", (and all those like Dave) who keep complaining I'm "cheating" and "ruining everyone's fun". (With the implication that I should not be going onto the Quake servers and playing) I started recording part way through the game after Dave went on a rant complaining that I'm "a cheat". Sorry Dave, but I'm tired of being called a cheat by newbies, and newbies who are probably playing on a console controller instead of mouse and keyboard, putting themselves at a huge disadvantage without even realising it. I've been playing since Quake 1996 (albeit with a 20 year gap in the middle) and have had "a bit" of practice... to just call someone a cheat because you're losing is an attempt to dismiss the years of practice that person may have put into reaching the skill level they're at. You won't replicate that in a short period of time, and you won't replicate it at all if you just call every player more experienced than you a cheat instead of accepting defeat and learning from it. Everyone starts off as a newbie and will get beaten into a pulp until they gradually get better, but only if they have the humility and put in the work. That's how it is with Quake which is a brutally tough game with a huge skill gap between newbies and experienced players. I only consider myself an average Quake player in the grand scheme of things, there are many players who can and still do completely wipe the floor with me, trust me. So please, Dave, watch the video and tell me exactly how I'm cheating. You're seeing the screen exactly as I see it. I don't use any hacks, I don't even use brightened textures or player models as I know some players do. No visual customisations. No bots, nothing. Just a lot of practice. Thanks to Skippy for being a good sport and continuing to play while Dave sat complaining...
