Zhengzhou is enormous. It is a major transportation hub, the capital of Henan Province and one of the most important cities in central China. Yet internationally, it rarely receives the attention given to Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou or Shenzhen. That made it exactly the kind of place I wanted to explore.
