This plane spotting video features a rare Qantas Boeing 787-9 takeoff from Adelaide Airport. Once a year, Qantas are chartered to operate a scenic sightseeing flight over Antartica from a number of the major cities here in Australia. This allows a unique opportunity for the plane spotting fans here in Adelaide to get a glimpse of an aircraft that is not often operated to their international airport. This particular flight used to be operated by the Qantas 747. Now that the 747 fleet is retired, Qantas have called upon the services of their now, flagship, Boeing 787 to take the reins.
