Urban Trinity explores the dramatic history of Roman Catholicism in the first American city to promote religious tolerance, Philadelphia. From the desperate refugees of the 18th century to the immigrants who fought to preserve their ethnic traditions to the violent reaction of nativists, Urban Trinity examines how the promise of America was proven and challenged on city streets.
