We Opened a Forgotten Nintendo Collection… What Survived?

A forgotten Nintendo collection that had been sitting in an attic for decades just walked into Gamers Alley—and we had no idea what condition this stuff would be in. The collection belonged to the seller's uncle and was packed with some incredibly unusual pieces of Nintendo history, including sealed Nintendo e-Reader products, Animal Crossing e-Reader items, Game Boy Advance accessories, vintage gaming accessories, movies, games, and some things we rarely ever see come through the store. But there was a problem. After being stored in an attic for years, some of the boxes showed signs of mold and damage. That meant we had to carefully go through everything, inspect the condition, and decide what was actually safe and worth buying. Then we got to the Nintendo e-Reader collection. Released during the Game Boy Advance era, the Nintendo e-Reader let players scan special cards to unlock games, Pokémon content, Animal Crossing features and other bonuses. It's one of those strange pieces of Nintendo history that disappeared relatively quickly—and finding this material still sealed all these years later made this trade especially interesting. We even had to make the decision nobody likes making with old collectibles: Do we open something that might still be factory sealed just to find out what's actually inside?
