MLHS Asian Culture Fair 2023 - Tinikling Dance

Philippines Culture and Awareness club presents a traditional folk dance called Tinikling (ti nik ling). The dance consists of dancers beating, tapping, and sliding bamboo poles on the ground. The dance represents the attempt of Filipino rice farmers who are trying to catch and prevent the Tikling bird from stealing rice grains from the field. Tinkling is a wonderful representation of the Philippines’ unique culture and traditions.
