Cyclist Joseph Tiekan's Arrival in Wa

The Wa Airport was a scene of celebration last Sunday as long-distance cyclist Joseph Tiekan completed his homecoming following a historic solo ride from Jirapa to Accra. Undertaken to champion the fast-tracking of the Wa–Techiman road project and drug abuse, Joseph's gruelling journey successfully amplified the voices of the Upper West Region at the national level. Following a brief media briefing at the airport, he rode onward to Jirapa to partake in a grand welcome celebration.
