SeattleRingHunter Excalibur II Power Button Mod

As a cold water SCUBA treasure hunter diver in the PNW with very silty conditions I have found the use of a pin pointer to be an essential part of my process. However the Excalibur II metal detector and any pin pointer will both experience a lot of interference when both are on at the same time. With thick 7mm dive glove on and the Anderson Knob guard installed to my machine it its a bit of a challange twisting the control knobs. The Excalibur knobs are a bit stiff by design due to the o-ring seals used to keep the water out of the unit. After testing a hand full of pin posters all found to have the same interference issue. I had to come up with a better solution and that is exactly what I did! I am happy to announce the BONDiT adhesive has held my custom designed Delrin switch mount on very securely and is water tight and working as intended. Quick update I have been diving nearly every week this summer with this machine during 2020 and my switch mount is till securely glued solid to the Excalibur II battery housing and fully water tight.
