You’re Standing in the Way of What Allah Already Wrote for You

You are not always delayed because life is against you, but sometimes because you are holding onto things that Allah is gently trying to remove from your path. You keep returning to what feels familiar, even when your heart is no longer at peace there. You keep asking for something better, while still gripping what is no longer meant for you. And in this quiet struggle, you are missing the signs Allah is placing around you and within you. Allah says in the Qur'an, “We will show them Our signs in the horizons and within themselves until it becomes clear to them that it is the truth” (Fussilat 41:53), reminding us that guidance is already present if we truly pay attention. Not everything that leaves is a loss, and not everything that feels right is written for you. Some endings are protection, and some delays are mercy in disguise. Allah is not closing doors to harm you, but to redirect you toward what your heart has been praying for in a better form. So instead of asking why things are not happening, ask what Allah is asking you to release.
