One unforgettable day exploring the temples of Angkor in Siem Reap, Cambodia, with our family and a local guide who brought 900 years of history to life. We started at sunrise-blue Angkor Wat, built in the 12th century by King Suryavarman II, then crossed into Angkor Thom to see the giant stone faces of the Bayon, and finished in the jungle temple of Ta Prohm, where giant silk-cotton tree roots swallow the ruins. Inside this film: 🏛️ The 400-year "lost" temple and its 240-hectare grounds 🐘 How the king arrived by elephant, and why nothing in Siem Reap can be taller than Angkor Wat 🌳 Tree roots that destroyed half a temple 🦕 The famous "dinosaur" carving at Ta Prohm 👨‍👩‍👧‍👧 Our family moments: coconuts, the Hall of Echoes, and too many photos
