They don’t: Cause dead tiles, corrupt your save file, cause a glitch if you talk to a villager sitting under them They do: Violate Nintendo’s code of conduct (section c). There is no risk of auto ban (as of yet) from Nintendo, but there is a risk of ban if someone reports you. Please keep the risks in mind before choosing to have these trees in your game.
