MY Bike Tour in Michigan: Great Lake to Lake route#3 - Alpena - Mackinaw - Charlevoix

E aí pessoal!? It has been a year since last bike trip crossing Michigan... so it was time for another expedition! This time two more cyclists joined the group to connect Lake Huron to Lake Michigan from Alpena to Charlevoix. We chose to ride this direction since we were planning to spend end of first day in Mackinaw City with some of our families there. It was a good choice! We covered ˜100 miles during 1st day and we left just ˜60 miles for the 2nd day with more scenic trails. Overall I estimate the whole route is 80% gravel (limestone) rail to trails. Very safe (dedicated biking/hiking trails) and well maintained. It is a little heavy for narrow tires (I rode 700x32), but still rideable.
