In the previous video, I unboxed the DJI Action 6 Adventure Combo, but I didn’t actually show you any footage from the camera. So in this video, I mount the Action 6 on my helmet and take it out for a ride through the streets of my hometown, Nadiad. I’m deliberately riding in the afternoon to avoid the heavy traffic in the old city. The narrow lanes of the old city can get completely jammed even with just a few vehicles, so this seemed like the best time to explore. While riding around, I’ll show you some of Nadiad’s familiar streets, markets, shops, old areas and places that have been part of my life for many years. I’ve been living in Nadiad for around 40 years, so this ride also turns into a little journey through my memories — from places I visited as a child, old stationery shops, markets and festival shopping areas, to the old theatres and familiar landmarks that have changed over the years. We’ll explore parts of the old city, including the kite and festival shopping areas, Rukmani Tower and the roads around Sardar Statue. I’ve also recently travelled through places like Varanasi, and the narrow lanes of Nadiad’s old city reminded me of that experience. There’s something familiar about exploring these old, tightly packed city areas. And of course, the main purpose of this video is to see how the DJI Action 6 actually performs in a real-world riding and vlogging situation. I’ve used my phone for shooting videos before, and although phones like the iPhone and Samsung can produce excellent quality, handling a phone while travelling and vlogging isn’t always convenient. That’s one of the reasons I decided to get a dedicated action camera. After testing it, I’m really happy with the result, and I think this camera is going to be a great companion for my upcoming travels. I’m also planning to explore more places around Nadiad — nearby villages, towns, special locations, old havelis, restaurants and anything interesting worth documenting.
