Who Can Stand? (Sermon)

Who Can Stand? | Revelation 6:1–17 | Living Stones Church War. Famine. Death. Persecution. Judgment. What do the Four Horsemen of Revelation mean, and what do they reveal about the world we're living in today? In Revelation 6, Jesus opens the first six seals, revealing a world marked by suffering, injustice, and the coming judgment of God. But the chapter ends with a haunting question: "For the great day of their wrath has come, and who can stand?" — Revelation 6:17 (ESV) The answer changes everything. In this sermon, Pastor Josh Stringer of Living Stones Church in Cumming, Georgia, explores the meaning of the Four Horsemen, the cries of persecuted Christians—including those suffering in Nigeria—and the terrifying reality of God's righteous judgment. But Revelation 6 isn't simply a warning about the end times. It's a powerful reminder of the hope we have in Jesus Christ. The Lamb who will judge the world is the same Lamb who was slain to save sinners. In this message, we'll consider: What the Four Horsemen reveal about our broken world. Why God allows suffering and persecution to continue. What the Bible teaches about God's wrath and justice. How Jesus Christ provides our only hope on the day of judgment. When everything else gives way, who can stand? Join us as we continue our verse-by-verse study of Revelation and discover why our only secure foundation is Jesus Christ.
