Ardennes Dunes an APCD design by Andrew Jones

#linksgolf #gaming #golf #golfsim #pga #pgatour This is a series dedicated to the designers that keep putting out these amazing courses. They keep this game alive. Thank you for all the great work you do. Every week I’ll be featuring 3 courses from one designer. Videos will be posted on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Ardennes Dunes: https://linkscorner.org/courses/cours... Designer: Andrew Jones -https://linkscorner.org/courses/index... Location: Fantasy Par: 72 Length: 7690 Style: Links The round: This was a well-earned even par round. As beautiful as this course is, it is also a beast. The greens are the real defense with plateaus on most of them, so you better be on the correct level or you are faced with a very tough 2 putt. The Course: The basic design elements are 5 sets of tees. The course is extremely long off the tips. If you don’t like the length, then there are 5 other sets of tees to play from. Each will provide its own set of challenges and skill requirements. It has been designed with, originally the powerstroke, and now the RTS users in mind. Generous fairways provide ample opportunity to keep the ball in play. However, position off the tee is important to avoid blind approaches and tucked pins. The greens are undulating but large in nature to accommodate the long irons needed to play into them off the tips. Get the ball close to the pin and you will be rewarded in many circumstances with a very straightforward putt. However, get the ball in the wrong area on the greens and a three putt is a distinct possibility. Getting to the pin on firm fast conditions will not be as simple as firing at it. The course plays in a figure of 8 up and down a spit of land poking out into the Atlantic Ocean. This means that there are excellent ocean views along many of the holes. And the ocean changes from on the left to on the right every few holes. DL Links 2003: https://www.linkscountryclub.com/ Play along: https://linkscorner.org/phpBB/viewfor...
