Sunday Longplay With Friends - Mario Party 1 (N64) - Luigi's Engine Room (20 Turns)

Featuring: ‪@Gooey23223‬ (Wario) ‪@GamesPerJustin‬ (Donkey Kong) ‪@chaosspin8298‬ (Mario) ‪@MetalSmasherGaming‬ (Yoshi) This week on Sunday Longplay, my best friend had a special variety stream where I and a few other mutual friends got together and played some competitive multiplayer games. One of which was the OG Mario Party on Nintendo 64! We did a 20-turn game on the hardest of the original 6 boards, Luigi's Engine Room. Mario Party at its core is a board game with interspersed mini-games, and the goal is to have the most stars at the end of a pre-determined amount of turns to become the Superstar. Players roll dice and travel around the board through different branching paths, and after each player has taken their turn, a mini-game ensues based on the color spaces where each player landed. Blue spaces give you three coins if you land on them, while red spaces take away 3 coins. If all four players land on the same color space, a 4-Player free-for-all mini-game will play. If three players land on one color and the fourth player lands on the other color, a 1-vs-3 mini-game will play (these usually give the lone player an advantage in some way). If two players land on blue and the other 2 land on red, then a 2-vs-2 team battle mini-game will play. These mini-games are where the bulk of a player's coins will come from, and you'll need as many as you can get, because coins are how you get stars. Sorry about the audio issues in this one. When all four of us got together, it weakened the connection quality. Oddly enough, when Gooey and Chaos DCed after the game, the bars went up.
