First Train of the Day! Toronto TTC Line 2 Subway Train Front View Ride 4/10/2026

I caught the first train of the day leaving Kipling Station at around 5:45 AM. Also, the front view access next to the operator's cab has reopened for the first time since around late 2022. Originally the front was blocked off due to covid, then for a very brief period in 2022, access was opened up, only for it to be restricted again due to safety concerns against operators. This operator on the train was telling the supervisor (who was next to me) that operators have now gotten permission to have the area unrestricted (unless acting as the door guard at the rear end of the train). This was originally supposed to be a ride towards St George Station, however another hydraulic oil spill shut down the line between Ossington and Woodbine Stations so we got kicked off at Ossington.
