EP7. Love, life, and intelligence

In this episode Barry Long talks about the two key areas of his teaching - Love and Meditation. Condensing the essence of his wisdom on these subjects he offers a profound summary on love between man and woman. Moving the talk into the area of meditation he reviews the four stages of meditation, and guides the listener into their sensation and then beyond with insights into the symbolic power of the sun, the earth, and the importance of remembering the original state of life. Recorded at the Master Session 2002, on The Gold Coast of Australia, this talk is from the last session of the meeting, session 22. Begin by knowing what you don't enjoy as a result of your blessed experience of living.' 'It's a very, very dangerous thing to make love anyway between man and woman, always has been, always will be, because it's a very precious thing when you make love.' 'So what do you do in a new relationship? You certainly don't plunge into bed. You get to know whether the man loves to be with you, whether he enjoys walking along the beach with you, or in the park with you, holding your hand, whether his hand has got the touch of a sweetness in it, that's not a grasping, that's not trying to get something from you, that he enjoys being with you, that you just, that you laugh together, and in that you just enjoy being together.' 'But it is possible to enter another state within the body through this stepping stone of pure sensation.' 'The solar plexus is very fine, and it is like a porthole. It is like an opening. It will open, or it's always open, really, if the intelligence is fine enough, and the intelligence can then pass through into the solar world, the world of the sun.' ~ For more on the subject of meditation see: https://www.barrylong.org/archive/art... https://www.barrylong.org/archive/art...
