I want to make it clear that both programs can achieve better results than what's seen in the video, but this test was purely to see what doing the bare minimum will get you.
I personally believe Davinci has a slight edge over Premiere due to its more natural-looking mask. Davinci also tracks SUBSTANTIALLY faster than Premiere (saving a lot of time if you do lots of masking). I will say though, Premiere never turned the mascot into a floating head (unlike Davinci), so points go to Premiere for that. I also really liked how well Premiere picked up the subject on just the first click when masking. In Davinci, I had to set quite a few points before it figured it out.
Overall, I think they're both great, but if you want the best, I'd say Davinci is currently the way to go. You just might need to pause and reselect some areas a few times while tracking.
Premiere is more intuitive and easier for beginners, while Davinci is more precise and delivers better results.
