On April 30, 2026, every Eddie Bauer store in North America closed for good. The company that invented the quilted down jacket, dressed American airmen in World War II and went to the top of Everest ended up with no one willing to buy its stores. This is how a 106-year-old legend was taken apart, one owner at a time.
