Bandai Namco and Bandai Namco Aces have released a new Story Trailer, revealing more of the game's campaign, rival ace encounters, powerful superweapons, and the return of the fan-favorite Annihilation Battle mode. Players will take to the skies as they lead their squad against the forces threatening the Federation of Central Usea, facing both elite enemy pilots and massive military targets. Story & Dogfights The new trailer showcases a head-to-head confrontation between the Sotoan Air Force Shadows Unit “Shadow 22” and the Joker Flight, led by the “Wings of Theve.” Alongside intense dogfights, players will also have to contend with devastating superweapons capable of controlling both the ground and skies. Annihilation Battle Returns One of the biggest reveals is the return of Annihilation Battle, a mission type where players must destroy as many enemy forces and targets as possible. These missions offer a high degree of freedom, letting players decide which targets to attack, the order of destruction, and when to return to supply lines to replenish weapons. Mission targets can include: 🏭 Solar power plants 🛢️ Oil tanks 🛬 Air bases 💣 Ammunition dumps Chain Reactions & Destruction Annihilation Battles introduce new strategic possibilities through environmental destruction. Destroying flammable objects, such as oil tanks, can trigger chain reactions that damage surrounding structures. Fallen enemy aircraft can also destroy nearby structures when they crash, adding another layer of strategy to choosing when and where to attack. Massive New Threats The campaign will feature enormous military installations and advanced weapons, including the Megafloat Fatsia, a massive artificial island and arms facility stretching six kilometers. Another major threat is the Tonitrus Spear, a low-orbit satellite weapon that launches dense metal projectiles toward targets on the ground.
