What Happened to Nene Royal on Avenged Sevenfold Stage? The Urgent In-Ear Monitor Fix!

What Happened to Nene Royal on Avenged Sevenfold Stage? The Urgent In-Ear Monitor Fix! What happened to Nene Royal on the Avenged Sevenfold stage when her in-ear monitor started slipping mid-show? During the historic A7X Singapore concert at the Singapore Indoor Stadium in October 2026, sixteen-year-old Thai rock prodigy and America's Got Talent Season 21 winner Nene Royal delivered an unforgettable opening set before joining her heavy metal idols live onstage. However, eagle-eyed fans watching concert clips noticed Nene repeatedly reaching up to touch her ear while playing guitar and singing. Behind the scenes, Nene Royal and her crew faced a high-stakes countdown before her special guest jam on Bat Country and Unholy Confessions. As shared by team member Phi Khwan, Nene's explosive headbanging and silky hair caused her monitor cable to pull loose during her five-song opening performance. With minutes left before stepping back out in front of ten thousand fans, her backstage team used field medical tape to anchor the earpiece securely in place. We also break down why the sixteen-year-old guitarist is waiting until age eighteen before getting custom-molded monitors as she continues to grow.
