Truckee | Tahoe Travel Guide

This travel guide covered both Incline Village in Nevada and Truckee just across the border in California, so the shoot had a natural split between the lakefront scenery of Tahoe and the historic mountain-town vibe of Truckee. The two locations complement each other well, but it meant planning the day around the drive, the light, and the different types of content we needed from each spot. We captured the classic Tahoe views around Incline Village, then shifted to Truckee to highlight its history, downtown atmosphere, and food scene. As with the other travel guides, we kept the gear load light for filming inside restaurants and shops while still getting strong exterior shots along the way. The mix of lake views, mountains, and the character of Truckee made this one feel really balanced and visually diverse. **Filmed and directed by me on assignment for a luxury vacation rental produced by creator and producer Sarah Funk for Wander.
