Scorpions performed three shows in Tokyo on April 23, 24, and 27, 1978, during their Japanese tour. The first show was not recorded, while recordings from the second and third nights were later used for the Tokyo Tapes live album. This show was recorded by the well-known taper Mr. Peach. Reflecting on the recordings, Uli Jon Roth stated: “There were three shows in Tokyo. The first one was by far the best, but the second one was good too. Those are the ones on the album — the second and the third shows. I thought the first one was much better, and I was disappointed that it wasn’t recorded.” Tracklist: 1. Monitor Check 2.
