Electro-Motive Division, or EMD for short, is a locomtive manufacturing company that makes diesel locomotives since 1922. EMD is notable for making famous locomotive types like the E9, F9, GP7, SD40, and the SD90MAC. EMD has also shifted to modern locomotives, which have also been popular since the introduction of Amtrak, who operated the iconic EMD F40PH locomotive that can be seen on other railroads such as Caltrain and MBTA. This video highlights EMD locomtives being used all around North America, even though they appear in other countries, primarily for freight service. Locomotives highlighted in this video include the F59PH, F59PHI, SD70ACe, GP40, F40PH, SD70M, and a few Union Pacific and Norfolk Southern SD70ACes. This is also the first video of a new railfan group that I joined recently and we made our first together. They helped share their videos on some railroads below and feel free to check out their channels and sub to them. Anyways enjoy our video!
