In this video, we go inside Carl Jung’s Red Book, the hand-written, hand-painted volume he kept hidden for his entire life, and explore what it reveals about the hidden depths of the human mind.
For around sixteen years, Jung deliberately turned inward and recorded what he met in his own unconscious: visions, voices, strange figures and dreams. After his death, the book was locked away in a Swiss bank vault, and it wasn’t published until 2009. This video looks at what’s inside it, why Jung himself said it could “appear like madness,” and why almost everything he later taught began on its pages.
This video is for educational purposes. If exploring your inner world ever feels overwhelming, please reach out to a qualified mental health professional.
