It has a total height of 1527 meters (5010 feet) above sea level. It is also bordering with the Oman - Musandam peninsula to the north west. I started very early at 5:50 am before sunrise. Temperatures in December here in the UAE are currently lower than usual during night time. On the high way about 20 km before Ras Al Khaimah we had only 11 degrees Celsius. Up on the mountain with the sun up it rose to 14 degrees Celsius. Beautiful road condition, spectacular curvy mountain road up to Jabal Yibir! Only downside – On top of the mountain is a military post and you are not allowed to go all the way up. But see for yourself! Sorry for the bad sound of my voice - I tried a new setup on my helmet with another cam and I am still fighting a cold..... Below some links for your reference.
