The Government of Ghana has respectfully declined MTN Ghana's GH¢20 million offer to support Ghanaians affected by the recent xenophobic attacks in South Africa. Foreign Affairs Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa explained that the Mahama administration, together with local partners, has already made adequate financial provisions to support the ongoing evacuation and reintegration of affected Ghanaian citizens. According to the Minister, the government's existing arrangements mean the additional GH¢20 million offered by MTN is not currently required.
