Back on the Floor | GOC 2026 Youth Latin Samba – Max & Varja | 1st Round

🇬🇧 ENGLISH Back on the competition floor after months away. Our first Samba at the German Open Championships 2026 was harder than we expected. We wanted to come back strong. We wanted to show how much we had worked and how much we had changed. And maybe we wanted it a little too much. After several months without competitions, stepping onto the GOC floor again brought pressure, expectations and emotions. We also wanted to prove something to our new coaches and show them that all the work we had done was beginning to pay off. The result was a Samba where our energy was not quite where we wanted it to be. We didn't dance our best, and we knew it. But sometimes the hardest part is simply getting back onto the floor. We fought through the round, found our way into the competition and kept going. Not the performance we had imagined. But the first step was done. GOC 2026 had begun. 🇮🇹 ITALIANO Di nuovo in pista dopo mesi lontani dalle gare. Il nostro primo Samba ai German Open Championships 2026 è stato più difficile di quanto ci aspettassimo. Volevamo rientrare bene. Volevamo mostrare quanto avevamo lavorato e quanto fossimo cambiati. E forse volevamo dimostrarlo un po’ troppo. Dopo diversi mesi senza competizioni, tornare sulla pista del GOC ha significato affrontare nuovamente pressione, aspettative ed emozioni. Volevamo anche far vedere ai nostri nuovi maestri che tutto il lavoro fatto negli ultimi mesi stava iniziando a dare i suoi frutti. L’energia non è stata quella che avremmo voluto e sapevamo di non aver ballato il nostro miglior Samba. Ma a volte la parte più difficile è semplicemente tornare sulla pista. Abbiamo lottato, superato il primo turno e iniziato a ritrovare noi stessi durante la gara. Non la performance che avevamo immaginato. Ma il primo passo era fatto. Il nostro GOC 2026 era iniziato.
