Location: Bergeralm, AT Glider: Swing Mirage RS 9sqm SITE INFO: Note, the site has no official take-off or landing zones. To avoid trouble and restrictions please follow these guidelines: -Land only on fields where the grass has been cut, no crops are growing and no animals are grazing. -Check out the landing fields beforehand as there are few alternatives in case of emergency. -Avoid landing near animals or flying low above their heads. -Don't fly in the winter during the ski piste's opening hours. -Avoid flying low above the highway. Not only do cars and lorries cause turbulence but you risk scaring drivers and causing a serious accident even if you are uninvolved. -Try to hike up from the valley to the middle station before you first flight, to check out if there are any obstacles, fences or cables in the way. The section from the middle station to the top station can be surveyed from the cablecar itself during your ride up. -Taking off from the ski piste next to the top station, with a 9sqm glider puts you at risk of not clearing the first flat part. Make sure you decide soon enough if you need to abort. Otherwise taking off from the slope just behind the top station as shown in the videos, gives you more margin. -The route going right from the middle station can also be flown, however make sure to check it out on foot first as there is a longer flat part which needs to be cleared. -This site is best flown in the early morning with little thermal activity and little valley wind at the landing field. Landing underneath the cablecar is only recommended with zero wind as the landing field is in the lee of virtually everything. If you notice there is valley wind, you are far safer landing on the other side of the highway and walking a few minutes longer to the cablecar. -Early spring after the ski season has ended as well as late autumn once the animals have left the fields and the grass has been cut, are the best times of the year to fly this site. During winter skiing starts at sunrise and ends at sunset leaving no time to use the ski piste before the sun sets. In summer the grass is often too high everywhere, with plenty of tourists and animals in the way as well as strong valley winds. Hence winter and summer are best avoided alltogether. -As always, respect the locals and follow their advice. Music: Shine by Spektrum NCS Releases    • Spektrem - Shine | Progressive House | NCS...
