By the main road from south to Bergen, you can get a glimpse of a majestet castle-looking mansion called "Gamlehaugen - "The Old Hill". Built as private residence for the then priminister Christian Michelsen in 1900 and was after his death in 1925 made into the official royal residence for the king When he is in Bergen.
