Video retake of the very nice, panoramic, and scenic (but SLOW) elevators that take guests from the lobby of the Renaissance Center up to the former Coach Insignia restaurant, in downtown Detroit, MI. This is the second highest panoramic restaurant in the United States, located at the very top of the Marriott hotel at the Renaissance Center (the tallest hotel in the Western Hemisphere). These elevators service only the 3rd and 72nd floors, and bypass all of the guestroom levels. These probably originally had Lexan fixtures, which got replaced in 2004. Guests are offered a very spectacular view of Windsor, Canada and the Detroit River during the ride up and down.
UPDATE: Coach Insignia is permanently closed. (News sources indicate that another restaurant will be replacing it soon.)
