The Ride That Almost Didn't Happen | Stelvio Pass, Italy

Some rides are about the destination. Others are about everything that happens along the way. This is my ride through the legendary Stelvio Pass in Italy — a day of mountain roads, endless corners, changing perspectives and the feeling of being completely surrounded by the Alps. The journey begins with something unexpected. A motorcycle goes down on one of Stelvio's corners. Thankfully, nobody was injured. I stopped to help the rider get the Kawasaki back on its wheels, make sure everything was alright, and then the journey continued. From there, the story goes back to the beginning. What follows is the ride as it really felt — climbing through the mountains, flowing through the corners, meeting other riders along the way, and taking in the views that make Stelvio one of those roads you never forget. I wanted this material to feel less like a motorcycle video and more like a journey you can experience from the road itself. The edit combines GoPro riding footage, DJI drone footage and moments captured on the phone, moving between close riding perspectives and wide views of the mountains.
