Squire Parsons was instrumental in my career in Southern Gospel music. He hired me and gave me my start, becoming both a mentor and a father figure to me. We always stayed in touch, and it was an honor to be asked to sing at his memorial service after his passing. Of all the wonderful songs Squire penned, this one is my absolute favorite.
