| What are Microbes? الفيديو الجاي: «مراجعة الوحدة التالتة» 📚 — In 1928 Alexander Fleming came back from holiday to find a green mould growing on one of his bacteria dishes, and the bacteria around it had died! That small spot led to penicillin, the first antibiotic, which has saved millions of lives 🦠 Kono Explains covers Unit 3, Lesson 3 "Microbes" for Grade 7 (Prep 1) Science, Term 1, Egyptian curriculum. It's explained in Egyptian Arabic, with every key term in English too: what microbes are and whether they are all harmful, classifying microbes into prokaryotes and eukaryotes (and why viruses are not classified), root nodule bacteria and nitrogen, decomposition bacteria and soil fertility, yogurt bacteria and how to make yogurt (lactose to lactic acid), pickled olives, Penicillium roqueforti and Roquefort cheese, Penicillium notatum, penicillin and the 1945 Nobel Prize, yeast, harmful microbes such as amoebic dysentery (Entamoeba histolytica) and typhoid (Salmonella typhi), and healthy habits for prevention. It ends with a 7-question challenge!
