What was Chuck Berry REALLY like in his prime? Today I'm travelling back to 1965 to witness one of the founding fathers of rock and roll performing his legendary classic, Johnny B. Goode, live! We all know the song, but seeing Chuck Berry perform it in 1965, just seven years after its original release, is something special. This is the man whose guitar playing, songwriting and stage presence helped shape generations of musicians, including The Beatles and The Rolling Stones. But there's an extraordinary story behind Johnny B. Goode that goes far beyond rock and roll. Did you know this song eventually travelled into interstellar space? And there's another fascinating story hidden in its original lyrics! Join me as I react to this historic performance, explore the remarkable legacy of Chuck Berry and ask one big question: Who had the greater influence on rock and roll — Chuck Berry or Elvis Presley? LET'S TALK! 👇 Was Chuck Berry the true king of rock and roll? And what ONE song would you send into space to represent music from Earth? Let me know in the comments!
