The Bible is very clear that God watches over His people. Christians are called to love the enemies and pray for those who persecute them. They are commanded not to take revenge but to leave room for the wrath of God to come upon those who attack them. Throughout the history of the Bible and the church, we have seen over and over again how empires, nations, and people who tried to destroy the Church were eventually destroyed by God. God had promised to Abraham saying "I will bless those who bless you, and curse those who curse you". In Christ, everyone who believes in the gospel becomes a child of Abraham and thus inherits the promise God made with Abraham.
