Mumbai Metro Line 10 (Green Line) — Gaimukh to Shivaji Chowk, Mira Road

Mumbai Metro Line 10, part of the Green Line network, is a 9.2 km corridor that will connect Gaimukh to Shivaji Chowk on Mira Road. The line will run parallel to the Thane-Bhayandar Highway and will connect with Mumbai Metro Line 9 at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Chowk, featuring four stations along its route. The project features a unique double-decker design — a decision made due to the limitations of widening the road at Ghodbunder. The metro will be constructed above an elevated road, at a height of at least 20 metres from the ground level. Approximately 4 kilometres of the route will be elevated, running between Gaimukh and Hotel Fountain along National Highway-8. Developed by the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA), the project was approved in September 2019 at an estimated cost of ₹4,476 crore. The MMRDA has appointed the consortium of Systra-DB Engineering as consultants for the project. Line 10's depot at Mogharpada is shared with Lines 4 and 11. The line is currently under environmental review, with commissioning expected by December 2027.
