Midnight Special — Midnight Road Blues | Slow Country Blues for Lonely Nights

MIDNIGHT SPECIAL — Midnight Road Blues Let the Midnight Special shine its ever-loving light on me. A traditional country blues song born among prisoners in the American South — about a man behind bars, watching a midnight train pass in the dark, hoping its light means freedom is coming for him too. Reimagined by Nocturne Country Blues as a slow country blues song for lonely nights. This version slows the old song down to a midnight confession: raw resonator slide guitar, gentle fingerpicking, a low gravelly baritone voice, distant harmonica, and the faraway sound of a train rolling through the night. 🎸 Style: Midnight Road Blues / Slow Country Blues / Traditional Country Blues 🌙 Series: Midnight Road Blues — Nocturne Country Blues ⏱️ Best listened to: late at night, on a long lonely drive, or when you are waiting for your own light to come If this song found you on your road tonight, subscribe for a new slow country blues song every week.
