A Very Unexpected Crash

This crash totally came out of the blue. At first I wasn't even sure what caused it, but I soon discovered that I hit the base of a road cone. I just happened to do this as I had loosened my grip on the left handle bar. This led to me losing control and hitting the deck. All was well. A bit of road rash, and a cut and bruised inner thigh from hitting the bike's headset. Nothing significant. The bike had slightly twisted handlebars, some scratches, a twisted shifter and a newly creaky bottom bracket. Handlebars and shifter sorted at the time, the BB was reseated the day after. Notice how quickly I stopped though. This is exactly why I hate drivers tailgating me, as that could make an annoying crash like that turn into a very serious one.
