🌙 *KANHA — Songs Beneath the Moon*
Ancient words. Living devotion. Krishna beneath the same moon.
A soothing journey through the world of Krishna — from the midnight of his arrival to the quiet realization that perhaps he was never far away at all.
*KANHA — Songs Beneath the Moon* is a collection of Sanskrit, Braj/Hindi and English devotional songs woven with ethereal female vocals, bansuri, tanpura, swarmandal, santoor, acoustic textures, gentle strings and the sounds of rain, rivers and the night.
Created for **Krishna Janmashtami**, meditation, prayer and peaceful listening, the album moves through different shades of Krishna — the divine child, Kanha, Govinda, Gopala, Muralidhara, Radhe-Shyam and finally, the presence within.
✨ *TRACKLIST*
— *NISHITHA — At Midnight He Came*
In the deepest hour of darkness, Krishna arrives.
— *KANHA — Aao Re*
A quiet invitation beneath the moonlight: Kanha… come.
— *NANDAGOPA GRIHE — In the House of Nanda*
The Infinite becomes small enough for Yashoda to hold.
— *GOVINDA — I Call Your Name*
A meditation through the many beautiful names of Krishna.
— *YAMUNA — Carry My Prayer*
A prayer entrusted to the river, flowing toward the sound of Shyam's flute.
— *MURLI — Breath Through Me*
I am only bamboo, until your breath moves through me.
— *RADHE SHYAM — Na Me, Na You*
Not mine. Not yours. Only love remains.
— *KASTURI TILAKAM*
An intimate Sanskrit vision of Krishna — the kasturi tilak, Kaustubha, bansuri and the beauty of Gopala.
— *TVAMEVA KRISHNA — You Are Here*
The journey comes home.
When I call you God,
you feel far away.
When I call you friend,
you sit beside me.
When I stop calling…
there you are.
🪈 Throughout the album, the *bansuri becomes Krishna's voice* — sometimes distant, sometimes answering, sometimes appearing only after the human voice becomes still.
This is not meant to be a conventional bhajan album. It is a peaceful meeting of ancient Sanskrit devotion, Braj poetry and contemporary ambient world music — created for stillness, reflection and connection.
Listen during Janmashtami, meditation, prayer, yoga, quiet evenings, sleep or whenever you simply want to slow down.
🙏 *Happy Krishna Janmashtami*
May there always be a little Kanha beneath your moon.
*Govinda… Mādhava… Gopāla… Muralīdhara… Rādhe Śyām… Krishna.*
