Horse Pregnancy Journey- First Movements to Birth

Dizzy is my Arabian mare and this is her foaling diary! I hope this helps with anyone who doesn't know when their horse is due to foal. Best movements at 5:39 and 7:05 mins 7 MONTHS- 16/06/17- First sign of movement with little flutters and ripples. 1:05 mins 9 MONTHS- 05/08/17- Movements become bigger throughout the month, we could now see proper kicks. 7:39 mins 10 MONTHS- 16/09/17- First movement seen in the rump area. 8:12 mins 11 MONTHS- 16/10/17- Movement is slower and can see parts of the foal move across her stomach. Friday 27/10/17 Small honey coloured wax. Saturday 28/10/17 Normal behaviour until 2am when she started being restless which carried on throughout the day on/off. Sunday 29/10/17 She became increasingly restless throughout the day. 11:20am- Milky wax formed while we were there in the morning. 3:37pm- Milky colour turned to honey coloured wax and liquid. 2 mins later- First drop of milk to appear. 6:36pm- She was dripping milk on/off through the afternoon so we began to collect it. That night she was in labour for 5 mins and gave birth to a big colt at 9:25pm with no assistance from us apart from pulling the sack away from his mouth so he could breathe.
