Before we judge someone, criticize them, or assume we understand their life, maybe we should ask a different question: “What might this person be going through?” Sometimes a phone call matters. Sometimes sitting beside someone matters. Sometimes simply telling someone “I’m here, and you matter” matters more than we realize.
