THE BENEFIT's OF THANKSGIVING Textual Source: 1 Thessalonians 5:18 “In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.” The Word of God came with power, reminding us of the great benefits that come when we cultivate a heart of thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is more than an expression of gratitude; it is an attitude that acknowledges God's faithfulness, goodness, mercy, and unfailing love. When we give thanks in every situation, we demonstrate our trust in God, even when we do not yet understand what He is doing. Through thanksgiving, our hearts are strengthened, our faith is renewed, and our focus shifts from the challenges around us to the God who remains faithful through every season. At this Monthly Thanksgiving Service, we are not only celebrating what God has done; we are also learning to recognize the benefits of maintaining a grateful heart. Thanksgiving helps us remember God's past faithfulness, strengthens our confidence for today, and gives us hope for tomorrow. It teaches us to praise God not only for what He has given us, but also for who He is. May this Word open our hearts to a deeper understanding of thanksgiving. May we receive the grace to remain grateful in every season, trusting that God's purpose is greater than our present circumstances. A grateful heart recognizes God's goodness even before the answer comes. As we give thanks, may our faith increase, our hearts be filled with joy, and our lives continually testify to the faithfulness of God.
