The Real Robin Hood: The Ancient Legend Behind The Movie

Fulk FitzWarin was a real knight of the English court, and much of what follows is drawn from the historical record. He held lands the crown took from him, and after that he was an outlaw. He went into the forests with the men who followed him and spent years making King John's life difficult from the cover of the trees — long enough, and publicly enough, that the stories about a hooded outlaw robbing the powerful in the greenwood have been traced back to him ever since. In this story: • A knight of the court and the lands the crown seized • The break with King John and the years in exile • Rebellion fought from the forests of the Welsh Marches • How a documented life became a folk legend 🔔 Subscribe for more stories from history and legend — kingdoms, curses, and the heroes buried by time. #MedievalHistory #Folklore #MrFinax #UntoldStoryByMrFinax
