You’ve been asking him for weeks now to take you, but he’s just been so busy juggling school and his Spider-Man duties he hasn’t had time. So, this morning when you both woke up to a day without responsibilities, as well as clear skies, it seemed like the perfect day for it. It seemed perfect a few hours ago, before it started raining. And not just a light spring rain, it’s pouring buckets. When it first started raining, the two of you were up on top of a building, looking out at the city. You were able to get down to a lower building before everything became too wet for Peter’s webs to stick to. Thankfully it has a little awning, so you guys won’t get soaked. “Damn it, I’m really sorry y/n.” he apologizes, pulling off his mask. “I had no idea this was going to happen. I should have checked the weather before we left.” You shake your head. “Peter, it’s fine. It’s not your fault we got caught in a rainstorm. Besides, this is a nice spot to wait it out.” You gesture out to the scene before you two. You’re right, you have a beautiful view of the city from up here. It’s one of those rainstorms where the sun is peeking out through the clouds; casting scattered golden beams over the city. From up here all the cars and people look like miniature versions of themselves, as though you’re looking at a toy set. The hustle and bustle of the city isn’t as loud thanks to the rain, and it’s peaceful watching everything from so far away. You unzip your sweater and drape it over the two of you like a blanket. Peter smiles at you and leans against your shoulder. He loves how easy it is to have fun with you, even when things should be stressful, your presence brings a sense of calm to his life that he never had before. That’s one of the reasons you were the easiest person to confess to about being Spider-Man. Your warmth and acceptance made him feel like he could come to you with anything. Like he could be loved no matter what. Reaching into the pocket of his spidey suit he pulls out his phone and a pair of earbuds. “You want to listen to some music while we wait for the storm to ease?” he suggests, holding one earbud out to you. You grin and accept it, leaning your head on his shoulder as he starts the first song. The smell and sound of the rain fades into the background a little. You feel Peter wrap an arm around you, keeping your body snug against his. You settle into the familiar comfort of being close to him, letting yourself relax into this moment.
